Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jarius Wright, linebacker Marvin Mitchell, safety Andrew Sendejo and cornerback Marcus Sherels all missed practice Monday with sprained ankles, according to Jeremy Fowler of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
All four players are backups for the Minnesota Vikings, however, Wright and Sherels were the primary punt return options throughout the preseason. Sherels also saw time as the Vikings kick returner.
Jarius Wright was the Vikings fourth round selection in the 2012 NFL Draft. Wright amassed 66 receptions for 1,117 yards his senior season at the University of Arkansas.
Marcus Sherels was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Vikings in 2010. He played in 16 games in 2011 as a return specialist.
Mitchell signed with Minnesota this offseason. A former seventh round draft pick, he is in his sixth NFL season. Sendejo was signed in November of last season.
