2012 U.S. Open Results: Andy Murray Advances To Final; Djokovic-Ferrer Postponed

Day 13 of the U.S. Open didn't go quite as planned. The Women's Singles finals matchup between No. 4 Serena Williams and No. 1 Victoria Azarenka was postponed until Sunday. A Men's Semifinals matchup was also affected. No. 4 David Ferrer found himself up 5-2 in the first set on No. 2 Novak Djokovic when play was suspended until Sunday.

They did get through one matchup though: the semifinals matchup between No. 3 Andy Murray and No. 6 Tomas Berdych. Murray took the match in four sets 7-5, 6-2, 6-1, 7-6 (9-7). Berdych had a colossal 64 unforced errors in the matchup and really struggled through sets two and three, which was ultimately his undoing.

That's tough luck for Berdych, who bested the tournament's No. 1 seed Roger Federer in the quarterfinals. Either way, Murray will advance to his second U.S. Open final and his fifth Grand Slam final overall. He'll await Sunday morning's matchup between Djokovic and Ferrer to wrap up so he can face the winer.
