Questions about Vikings running back Adrian Peterson's knee will finally be answered when Minnesota hosts the Jacksonville Jaguars at noon Sunday.

Peterson was held out for most of training camp and did not take a snap in a preseason game as he continues rehabilitation from a torn ACL suffered in late December.

Recent reports suggest Peterson could see carries in Week 1, but Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier has said his carries will be limited.

The Jaguars will put their own franchise running back on a pitch count, of sorts, as it doesn't appear Maurice Jones-Drew should expect to see 20 or more carries. Jones-Drew ended a lengthy holdout recently, and hasn't practiced much leading up to the season opener.

CBS announcers Kevin Harlan and Solomon Wilcots will call the game.
