The San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens are scheduled to play the 2013 Super Bowl at 5:30 p.m. CT on Sunday, Feb. 3, but any savvy fan knows the game certainly will not start at that time. The start is always delayed, as the spectacle that precedes the game takes center stage before kickoff. CBS will be airing the contest and all the festivities this year, and bringing in $4 million per 30 seconds of ad time in the process.

The 49ers will wear their red jerseys as the home team, meaning the Ravens will likely have their white away uniforms with black pants. One of the Baltimore defenders in those black pants will be Terrell Suggs, who was born and raised in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.
Suggs and his defensive teammates hope they can come through with another solid defensive performance after limiting the high-powered Patriots offense in the AFC Championship. The 49ers bring a whole new challenge, with versatile quarterback Colin Kaepernick and a physical run game.
