Final 2013 college football rankings: 4 Big Ten teams in top 25

Four Big Ten teams are in the top 25, but Minnesota isn't one of them.

The Big Ten finished the season with only three teams ranked in the top 25. Sadly, none of those teams are the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

One of those teams is the undefeated Ohio State Buckeyes, who ended up finishing 2012-13 as the lone team without a blemish on its record. Unfortunately, the blemish of a postseason bowl ban ended up keeping them out of a likely national championship bid. Ohio State finished third in the AP Top 25 and wasn't ranked in the Coaches poll.

The next ranked team was Northwestern, who finished 17th in the AP Top 25 in 16th in the USA Today Poll. The Wildcats finished the season 10-3 and ended up beating Mississippi State in the Gator Bowl to finish up a wildly successful campaign.

Michigan was also ranked, suffering losses to the two national champions in the undefeated Ohio State, Nebraska and South Carolina. They had a solid 8-5 season that saw them finish 24th in the AP poll. Nebraska finished 25th in the AP poll and 23rd in the USA Today poll.
