Some people might call March 17, 2013 St. Patricks' Day, but a majority of college basketball nuts are celebrating Selection Sunday instead.
There is plenty of intrigue swirling around the bracket the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee has been working on diligently for the past week. As the committee pours over numbers, rankings, statistics, schedules and everything goes into college basketball, the nation sits waiting seeing which team will hop off the bubble into the tournament.
Perhaps the biggest mystery about the bracket is what teams are going to find their name called on the top lines of the region. As Mike Rutherford of SB Nation writes, there are no less than six teams who could find themselves as a No. 1 seed in the tournament. Of course, the math doesn't add up that easily as only four spots are available.
CBS has the rights to broadcast the show, where the bracket will be revealed region by region by a panel of analysts. Immediately following the hour-long broadcast, truTV will give in-depth analysis to the bracket, regions and matchups in a show hosted by Ernie Johnson.
