The Minnesota Golden Gophers were the seventh Big Ten team selected in the NCAA tournament, and will be the No. 11 seed in the South region.

Minnesota will open the tournament against the No. 6 UCLA Bruins. The two teams will tip off on Friday at 9:57 p.m. ET in Austin, Texas. The winner of that game will face either the No. 3 Florida Gators or the No. 14 Northwestern St. Demons in the third round of the tournament.

Joining the Golden Gophers from the Big Ten are the No. 1 Indiana Hoosiers, the No. 2 Ohio St. Buckeyes, the No. 3 Michigan St. Spartans, the No. 4 Michigan Wolverines, the No. 5 Wisconsin Badgers and the No. 7 Illinois Fighting Illini. The Big Ten placed the second-most teams in the NCAA tournament, trailing the Big East, who had eight teams selected.
