Purdue Boilermakers 14, Minnesota Golden Gophers 0 - A Comedy Of Errors

If the Minnesota Golden Gophers are playing for Tim Brewster’s job, they’re making one thing pretty clear. . .they want that guy fired yesterday.

After a drive that appeared to have a bit of promise, with the Gophers advancing the ball to midfield, Dan Orseske had the snap on a punt go over his head. After picking it up, it appeared he had enough time to kick the ball, but attempted to run with it instead, getting dropped at the Minnesota 22-yard line for a loss of 28 yards.

Given the short field, it didn’t take much for Purdue to convert for another touchdown, but the Gophers helped them out anyway. After an illegal shift put the Boilermakers in second and 15, the Gophers decided to jump offsides on third and five to give Purdue a first down, and a few plays later Rob Henry was running into the end zone for his second score of the day.

With 8:04 left before halftime, the Gophers trail the Boilermakers 14-0.
