After suffering a frightening seizure in the waning moments of the Golden Gophers' loss to the New Mexico State Aggies last week, Minnesota head coach Jerry Kill is on the field while the teams are warming up at TCF Bank Stadium this afternoon.
A combination of heat exhaustion and dehydration was thought to have played a role in Coach Kill's seizure last week, and the reports from the reporters on the scene at the stadium say that he is remaining hydrated. With temperatures in the Twin Cities today only expected to reach into the lower 60s, the heat should not be a factor in such things this afternoon.
There has not yet been any word at this point about whether or not Coach Kill will be coaching from the sidelines this afternoon or from up in the press box. Either way, it's pretty impressive that he's there at all this week, given what happened to him a week ago.
The Gophers and Redhawks will kick things off approximately 45 minutes from now.
