The Minnesota Golden Gophers suffered a rough loss to Illinois in double-overtime on Tuesday and will face another tough game right away, as they travel to Ann Arbor to take on the No. 16-ranked Michigan Wolverines.

Both teams will be playing in their second Big Ten matchup. The Wolverines are 1-0 in conference play and hold an overall record of 11-2. The Gophers will be hoping to improve on their 12-2 record and pick up their first conference win. They're also hoping that Ralph Sampson III will continue to perform well following his career game on Tuesday, in which he scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

The game between the Gophers and the Wolverines will tip off at 4:00 PM EST on Sunday, January 1. The Wolverines are favored to win by six points and the game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
