Golden Gophers Vs. Hoosiers: Minnesota Still Seeking First Conference Win

After Nebraska's win over Penn State on Wednesday the Minnesota Golden Gophers are the only team left in the Big Ten without a conference win. Getting their first league win on Thursday will not be an easy task as they face No. 8 Indiana in Bloomington, where the Hoosiers have been dominant all season. Indiana already has a win over Kentucky when the Wildcats were No. 1 and Ohio State when the Buckeyes were No. 2.

As the Daily Gopher explains, the Golden Gophers have had major execution issues:

Tubby does have this program stuck in mediocrity. Partially because of unfortunate circumstances (injuries and Royce White being a bonehead) and partially because of his own mistakes. But I do not necessarily believe that switching coaches is always the right answer to fixing the problem. There is nothing wrong with demanding more, there is nothing wrong with taking the kid gloves off because we no longer should feel lucky to have the infamous Tubby Smith and there is nothing wrong with holding him accountable by not granting him a massive extension just because he asks for it.
