The Minnesota Golden Gophers appear to be back on the track that they were showing themselves to be on when the year began and they roared almost undefeated into conference play only to drop four straight games. The Gophers have now won three straight games in the Big 10 including a 75-52 drubbing of the Northwestern Wildcats on Sunday.
Minnesota have another big game against a ranked team this week as they face the Michigan State Spartans on Wednesday at 8:30 PM. The Spartans are a top 10 team in the nation currently and will be the biggest game since the Gophers played the 8th ranked Indiana Hoosiers back when they began the winning streak they are currently on. The only other game against a ranked team so far for Minnesota was back on New Years Day when the Gophers fell 61-56 to the 16th ranked Michigan Wolverines.
The three wins in a row have pushed Minnesota to 3-4 in Big 10 play but they still have a long way to go to get toward the top.
