Seeking to halt a two-game skid in conference play, the Minnesota Golden Gophers will try to exact revenge on Wisconsin this Saturday after suffering a 29-point beating last season.
Following a strong 4-0 start to the year, the Gophers have dropped games to Northwestern and Iowa in consecutive weekends and are still in search of their first Big Ten win of 2012. Lucky to be free of any ill effects from the seizure he suffered last weekend, Minnesota head coach Jerry Kill is reportedly back to business as normal heading into Week 8 and will not be a distraction for his players.
While star quarterback MarQueis Gray made his return to the field last weekend against Northwestern, the talented dual-threat option QB re-injured his ankle in the second half and could not continue. Gray was an impact player as usual on Saturday, compiling 66 yards passing, 86 yards rushing and one touchdown, but he was spotted in a walking boot on Thursday and remains doubtful to face the heavily-favored Badgers.
