2012 College Football Schedule: Minnesota, Purdue battle for first Big Ten win

After a good start to the season, both Purdue and Minnesota remain in search of their first Big Ten win.

Jesse Johnson-US PRESSWIRE

After rolling through their non-conference schedule without a loss, the Minnesota Golden Gophers (4-3, 0-3) have yet to win in Big Ten conference play, leaving them in last place in the Legends Division.

On Saturday, Minnesota faces the reeling Purdue Boilermakers (3-4, 0-3) also trying to win their first Big Ten game after starting conference play with an eye toward the Big Ten championship game out of the Leaders Division. With Ohio State and Penn State not eligible for the Big Ten title game, Purdue appeared to be among the best of the rest, but the slow start has left Wisconsin in control of the Division for those eligible teams.

Ohio State visits Penn State on Saturday as both teams play for the top spot in the Leaders Division, hoping to win the regular season division title. At the top of the Legends Division Michigan will visit Nebraska as the Wolverines try to remain in first place.

Here is the full slate of Big Ten games this week:
