College football schedule 2012: Golden Gophers take on Wolverines

Minnesota and Michigan open up the Big Ten's Saturday slate.

Jeff Hanisch-US PRESSWIRE

The Minnesota Golden Gophers open up the Big Ten's Week 10 schedule on Saturday against Michigan. The Wolverines may be without quarterback Denard Robinson, who was injured last weekend against Nebraska. If Robinson can't go, they'll turn to Russell Bellomy, who threw three interceptions in 16 pass attempts in relief. The Gophers would become bowl eligible with a win.

Philip Nelson is expected to start at quarterback again, after being named Big Ten Player of the Week by ESPN for his efforts in the Gophers' 44-28 win over Purdue. The freshman from Mankato went 15 of 22 for 246 yards and three touchdowns, and he ran for 37 yards.
