Jerry Kill expected to return to work Monday

The Minnesota Golden Gophers head coach will be back with his team to start the week.

Minnesota Golden Gophers head coach Jerry Kill suffered a seizure at halftime of the team's game on Saturday vs. the Michigan State Spartans, but will be back at the office on Monday. Kill was not taken to the hospital following his seizure, and spent Saturday and Sunday resting at home.

It was the second seizure that Kill has suffered this season, and the third while he's been at Minnesota. The first happened during a loss to New Mexico State last season that forced Kill to be hospitalized for several days, though he did not miss any of the team's games. The second occurred during a loss to Northwestern on Oct. 13 of this season -- Kill was also taken to the hospital after that incident but did not miss any games.

In 2012, Kill's Gophers went 6-6 in his second season -- a marked improvement from their 3-9 record in 2011. The team will head to a bowl for the first time since 2009.
