NIT Tournament 2012: Bracket Selection Show To Be Televised On ESPNU

The Minnesota Golden Gophers didn't make the 2012 NCAA Tournament, but all hope isn't lost for Tubby Smith's team continuing to play basketball this season. The 2012 NIT bracket will be released on Sunday afternoon and, following Minnesota's better than expected showing in the Big Ten Tournament, there's a chance that the show will go on.

The Gophers are expected to either be a fifth or sixth seed according to those following the happenings related to the NIT tournament field. Yes, there are people that follow the NIT as both NITology and The Bracket Project have their projected posted.

NITology, by the way, projects that the Gophers will meet up with the Marshall Thundering herd.

Time: 9 p.m. Eastern, two hours after the NCAA Selection Show ends.

TV information: You can find the NIT Selection show on ESPNU.
