The Minnesota Golden Gophers' women's basketball team will continue their road to the Women's Basketball Invitational title with a second round game against the women of the Bradley Braves. The No. 2 seeded lady Golden Gophers improved their overall record to 16-17 by defeating No. 15 Charleston Southern Buccaneers, 80-51.
It's looking like the Golden Gophers' decision to play in the WBI is paying off as it has provided their team at least an additional two games. Head coach Pam Borton did not want to risk a bid to the NIT despite the fact her team was eligible.
Sunday's tip off is set for 3:00 p.m. ET (2:00 p.m. CDT). Winner will play either Manhattan or Holy Cross in the Final Four.
