Minnesota Football Spring Game: Golden Gophers Wrap Up Spring Practice With 2012 Spring Game

Coach Kill tries changing things to improve Gophers.

Minnesota Golden Gophers head coach Jerry Kill will wrap up spring practice for his football team with the annual Spring Game at TCF Bank Stadium on Saturday at noon.

In his second spring with the Gophers, Kill is trying to adjust the talent on his roster to put them in better positions to succeed. That includes moving quarterback Moses Alipate to tight end. That leaves the signal calling duties to MarQueis Gray and Max Shortel.

On defense, Kill made a couple of changes moving James Manuel from safety to linebacker and running back Lamonte Edwards to linebacker. All of those changes along with the rest of the Gophers will be on display today.

Gopher fans can listen to the University of Minnesota spring football game live on KFAN (100.3 FM) in the metro area Saturday. The broadcast is slated for 11 a.m., with kickoff of the Spring Game set for 11:06 a.m. The game will be picked up on select Gopher Radio Network affiliates across the state of Minnesota, as well.

The Gopher Radio Network broadcast team of Mike Grimm, Darrell Thompson and Justin Gaard will describe all the action.

In addition to the radio coverage, the Big Ten Network will stream Minnesota's spring football game liove at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday through Gopher All-Access and The Big Ten Digital Network. Fans can also watch the game on BTN2Go.
