It looks like the Minnesota Golden Gophers have indeed found their new athletic director. It was reported early on Monday that the university had named Norwood Teague the sole finalist for the position, which was an odd choice of wordage. Still, there was plenty said about Teague and his pedigree, and it was inevitable after those reports that it was going to happen.
Brett McMurhpy of CBS confirms all of this on Twitter, and also notes that a press conference has been scheduled, primarily to introduce Teague as the new athletic director:

Teague has been successful with the Virginia Commonwealth University in the same role that he'll have with Minnesota. Under him, the basketball team has made two-straight NCAA Tournament appearances, and made it to the final four in 2011, on top of that. There's been good revenue overall with him at the helm and season ticket revenue doubled as well.
