The Minnesota Golden Gophers, according to a report from TwinCities.com, have offered a tender to Henry Ellenson. Ellenson is a 6-foot-8, 230-pound ninth-grader from Rice Lake High School in Wisconsin, so he won't be eligible to join the Gophers until several years from now, assuming he decides to pick Minnesota. He also received tenders from a handful of other schools, including Marquette, Georgetown and Iowa State.
One of the advantages that the Gophers have over the other schools to offer him a tender is that they will have some family ties on the team -- Henry's older brother Wally Ellenson is an incoming Gophers Freshman for the 2012/2013 season.
Being in the ninth grade, Henry's got plenty of time to decide.
