Minnesota Football Will Have Several Early Start Times

Of the four home games that Minnesota has announced game times for, three of them will be before noon. The Gophers will play New Hampshire at 11 a.m. on Sept. 8 and Western Michigan at 11 a.m. on Sept. 15, according to the Star Tribune.

This adds to what had already been confirmed, that Minnesota would have an early start against Northwestern on Oct. 13. Minnesota will also have an 11 a.m. start in a road game against Iowa on Sept. 29.

Minnesota's season opener at UNLV will start at 10 p.m. on Aug. 30. The rest of the start times likely won't be known until 10 days before each game.

The Gophers lucked out last season after pushing the conference for later start times so there would be more tailgating opportunities for fans. However, at least for the early part of this season, the league appears to have went against Minnesota's wishes.
