The Minnesota Timberwolves have oscillated around .500 for much of the 2012-2013 season, and they find themselves a game over at 14-13 as they head to face the Utah Jazz. Utah, meanwhile, enters at just 15-17 after dropping 7 of their last 10 games -- though they've been a typically solid 9-4 at home this season.
Unfortunately for the Timberwolves, they'll be without Ricky Rubio during their mini two-game road trip that starts in Utah. Rubio is not travelling with the team as he suffers from back spasms, though the injury doesn't figure to be too serious. On Wednesday night, though, the focus won't be on either team's backcourt. The Jazz boast one of the deepest frontcourts in the league, but one that will be given a stiff test by the likes of Kevin Love, Nikola Pekovic and Andrei Kirilenko, who will be making his return to Utah after 10 seasons there to start his NBA career.
If the Timberwolves pull off the victory, it will be their first road victory in three games and their first win in Utah in six tries. The game tips at 8 p.m. CT on FS North.
