Frozen Four 2012: Minnesota vs. Boston College Score Update: Eagles Lead 4-0 After 2 Periods

The Minnesota Golden Gophers have had their opportunities against their Frozen Four opponent, the Boston College Eagles, but the Eagles are the the team with a four goal lead after two periods on Thursday night.

Minnesota has 21 shots, but have not been able to get any by Eagles' goaltender Parker Milner. The same can't be said for Kent Patterson, who has allowed four goals on 15 shots.

Kevin Hayes scored the first of three second period goals on the power play a little over six minutes into the period. Steve Whitney, who scored the first period goal, assisted the goal along with Tommy Cross. Chris Kreider and Paul Carey scored the other two goals in the final three minutes of the period, virtually putting the game out of reach.

The winner of this game will play Ferris State in the championship game.
