Kevin Love Lost Weight While Minnesota Timberwolves Were Locked Out

Kevin Love is never going to be the most athletic player on the Minnesota Timberwolves roster, but he apparently spent the long offseason working on becoming a bit more nimble. It's surprising he needed to work on too much considering he averaged 20.2 points and 15.2 rebounds, but getting in better shape was apparently one of his goals during the lockout.

It worked, too, according to Kerry Eggers of the Portland Tribune.

Minnesota's 6-9 power forward will enter training camp on Dec. 9 weighing in at 240 pounds, down about 25 from his playing weight at the end of last season.

Love didn't give away any specific secrets, but he did say that he decided to eat a better diet.

"It was taking care of my body, eating the right foods, getting sleep and training the right way," Love says. "More than anything, I paid attention to what I ate."

It's hard to hope for much more than what he did last season, but he's certainly set the bar a bit higher.
