The Minnesota Timberwolves are off to a rough 0-2 start to the 2011-12 NBA season, and their task does not get any easier on Friday night. The Timberwolves, who are one of the worst defensive teams in the league on the very young season, host the undefeated Miami Heat Friday Night at the Target Center.
Miami comes in at 3-0 and looks every bit as good as promised so far. The Heat are the favorites to win the 2012 NBA title with Lebron James and Dwyane Wade, and so far they are averaging better than 105 points per game. That does not bode well for Minnesota, who rates 23rd out of 30 teams defensively.
Lebron James is off to a blistering start with over 32 points per game while Wade is averaging 20 per game. Wade hit on a game-winning shot Wednesday night in a 96-95 win over the Charlotte Bobcats.
