Timberwolves Hope For Change Of Luck Tonight Against Grizzlies

The Minnesota Timberwolves will be playing their first post-All Star home game tonight when they host the Memphis Grizzlies at the Target Center. Unfortunately, whether at home or on the road, the Wolves haven't had a whole lot of success against Memphis thus far this season.

The Timberwolves have played the Grizzlies on two other occasions this season, and Memphis has triumphed by an average of 19 points in those two contests. The Grizzlies got a 20-point victory in Memphis back on Oct. 30, and they also beat the Timberwolves in Minnesota on Feb. 2, but that was "only" an 18-point victory.

I, personally, have not seen any word yet as to the status of newly acquired forward Anthony Randolph, who the Wolves acquired as a part of the blockbuster trade involving Carmelo Anthony. Michael Beasley returned last night for Minnesota against the Milwaukee Bucks and let the team in scoring in their losing effort.

Kevin Love kept his double-double streak alive against the Bucks with 20 points and 17 caroms, giving him 43 consecutive games of at least ten points and ten rebounds. He's fast approaching the mark set by Moses Malone in the 1982-83 season, when the legendary Malone had 44 consecutive double-doubles.

Tonight's game will tip off at 7:00 p.m. Central time at the Target Center, and you can follow the game by either watching it on Fox Sports North, or listening to it on KFAN-AM 1130.
