Grizzlies Drop Timberwolves Again, 104-95

The Minnesota Timberwolves lost their sixth straight game, as the Memphis Grizzlies beat the homestanding Timberwolves 104-95 in a game that, in all honestly, wasn't that close.

While new acquisition Anthony Randolph looked on from the bench. . .a position he found himself in all night in his first game as a Timberwolf. . .the Timberwolves got out to a quick 2-0 lead on their first possession thanks to a Darko Milicic. That was the only lead that the Timberwolves had on the evening, as they gave up the next ten points and really never got all that close after that.

The Grizzlies got 24 points from forward Zach Randolph, who outplayed Kevin Love for the second time in a month. Mike Conley complemented that with 22 of his own, and Sam Young and Tony Allen each contributed 16 for the victors.

For Minnesota, Wayne Ellington led the way with 16 points. Luke Ridnour contributed 15, and Kevin Love extended his double-double streak to 44 with 15 points and 11 rebounds of his own.

The Timberwolves will next take the court on Friday when they host the New Orleans Hornets at the Target Center, a team that they've had surprising success against this season. Who knows. . .maybe Anthony Randolph will even play on Friday. Stay tuned, and we'll be sure to let you know!
