Late 10-0 Run By Philadelphia Drops Wolves, 111-100

Another monster game from Kevin Love wasn't enough to overcome a late collapse against the Philadelphia 76ers, as the Wolves fell tonight in Philly by a score of 111-100.

Andre Iguodala was on fire for the Sixers this evening, registering a triple-double with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 13 assists for the victors. He was helped by 21 points from Elton Brand and 16 more off of the bench by Thaddeus Young.

Love put on another monster performance, putting up 21 points and 23 rebounds. . .his tenth 20/20 performance of the 2010-11 season. Nikola Pekovic scored 16 points, and Anthony Randolph chipped in with 12.

The Wolves actually got off to a very good start, ending the first quarter with a 31-22 lead. However, the home team came roaring back in the second quarter, as the Sixers nearly doubled the Wolves point output in that quarter to go into the locker room with a 56-49 lead. The Sixers still held a seven-point lead after three quarters, but the Wolves got to within 101-100 late in the fourth quarter before Philadelphia went on a 10-0 run to end Minnesota's chances.

The loss dropped the Timberwolves to 5-26 on the road this season, and the Sixers' win pushed them one game over the .500 mark and into the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference playoff chase.

The Timberwolves will continue their East Coast road trip tomorrow when they travel to the nation's capital to take on the Washington Wizards. For more feedback on tonight's game, check out the recap over at Canis Hoopus and join in the discussion.
