Ricky Rubio Signs, A Look Back To When He Was Drafted

Hey, anybody remember when the Minnesota Timberwolves drafted Ricky Rubio with the fifth overall pick of the 2009 NBA Draft? With all the will he/won't he that's been going on since then, it seems like forever ago. Let's take a long luxurious stroll down memory lane.

Remember how excited everyone was? Good times. When comparing this experience to watching Pau Gasol get drafted in 2001 and says, "Now I know what is Draft."

Hopefully, we'll soon know, "what is Rubio." It seems like a major win just getting him to come over here, but now he has to play like the guy everyone thought he could be when he was drafted in 2009. It might take a while, but Rubio needs to make some positive returns for the Wolves, otherwise their 2009 Draft that also included Johnny Flynn will look pretty bad. That starts now, and in many ways, Rubio is the most important player on the roster.
