Ricky Rubio arrived in Minneapolis on Monday morning, nearly two years following his selection by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2009 NBA Draft. When watching the video, however, it seems like the fans thought they may have been waiting for the Beatles to arrive.
Rubio held a press conference in Spain announcing his intentions to leave his home country and come to the team that drafted him with the fifth overall pick two years ago. Just a few days later, he was walking into a Minneapolis Airport terminal filled with a ton of fans and media alike, holding signs and having the young point guard autograph their shirts and basketballs.
If people who were interested in meeting Rubio didn't get a chance to head to the airport on Monday, his official introductory press conference will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Fans can tune into FSN North or Timberwolves.com to watch it live.
After the jump, a nice video put together by the Wolves showing the scene Rubio arrived to Monday morning.
