Much speculation has centered around what the Minnesota Timberwolves may or may not do with the second overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. However, there's another rumor that has surfaced regarding the Timberwolves as well.
In Ken Berger's latest posting at CBS Sports, he reports that the Timberwolves have offered point guard Jonny Flynn to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for dynamic swingman Andre Iguodala.
. . .sources said Monday the Timberwolves have offered point guard Jonny Flynn in a package deal for swingman Andre Iguodala. Philadelphia officials, however, have let it be known that they are not interested in a salary-dump deal for Iguodala and want an impact veteran in return.
Sadly, if the Sixers want an "impact veteran" for Iguodala, it doesn't look like a deal with the Timberwolves is in the offing, because. . .well, the Wolves really don't have a heck of a lot of players that fall under the "impact veteran" category, save for Kevin Love, and I'm pretty sure that guy isn't going anywhere.
