NBA Draft Rumors Now Have Enes Kanter Going To Minnesota Timberwolves

The 2011 NBA Draft is just over 24 hours away and, as might have been predicted, David Kahn and the Minnesota Timberwolves have decided to make things interesting.

The Wolves are said to be telling other NBA teams that they will take Enes Kanter with the No. 2 pick, according to the latest rumor being floated by Jonathan Givony of Draft Express. Kanter is probably a better fit for Minnesota, but Arizona's Derrick Williams is widely regarded as the better overall prospect.

If Kanter was picking himself, however, he believes he's even better than projected first overall pick Kyrie Irving.

"I believe if I could have played [at Kentucky], I would go with the No. 1 pick," Kanter said during the annual draft media day on Wednesday. "I believe I am the best player in this draft."

It would probably be ideal if the Wolves were able to trade down a few picks while picking up a young veteran and Kanter, but either way it will be interesting to see what happens on draft night.
