Timberwolves Schedule 2012: Clippers, Jazz Provide A Tough Weekend On The Road For Minnesota

The Minnesota Timberwolves have a winning streak going now that they found a way to defeat the Sacramento Kings and the Detroit Pistons during the week, but they're going to face a significantly harder test on the weekend as they travel out West to take on the Los Angeles Clippers and the Utah Jazz in a weekend back to back.

The Clippers and Timberwolves are somewhat similar teams, each boasting their own pair of stars with decent backing casts. The Clippers team of Blake Griffin and Chris Paul is a bit more polished than Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love but they've all managed to get the job done, with the Clippers having more to show for at 8-4 in the early goings of the season. They did just get creamed by the Utah Jazz but for a team still building chemestry that's to be expected every so often. The talented Wolves are a great example as well.

That Utah team that creamed the Clips are the next stop for the Wolves on Saturday. Clips Nation actually quite well summarizes what tends what happened there, and unfortunately the Wolves face the same problem:

The dreaded second of back to back games. On the road. In Utah.

So the Timberwolves will need a lot of skill and perhaps a bit of luck to defeat the Jazz in Utah, but stranger things have happened. At 6-8 but on a winning streak, there's a spark in the eyes of the Timberwolves and they may just be able to get out of this week at 4-0.
