All in all, it's hard to say that it's been a bad week for the Minnesota Timberwolves so far. They re-signed their superstar Kevin Love to a new contract and beat the defending champion Dallas Mavericks on the same night. The weekend looks to be a lot harder for the Wolves though as they face the perennial championship favorite San Antonio Spurs Friday and then the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.
The Wolves actually beat the Spurs for their first win in 16 games back in early January, one of the more impressive checks on the current resume of the 8-10 team. If the Wolves want to put a rare winning streak together they'll need Kevin Love at his best again. The star has put together 17 double doubles on the season and has sincerely earned that huge extension that he was given earlier in the week.
The game will be at Target Center at 8 PM ET.
