Timberwovles Vs. Spurs Score Update: San Antonio Leads Minnesota 42-41 At Halftime

It took awhile for the Minnesota Timberwolves to get going but they were able to hang around and stay in touch with the San Antonio Spurs to trail by just one point, 42-41 at the half.

The Wolves were scoreless in the first three minutes of the game but the Spurs were only able to mount a six-point lead during the first quarter, which the Wolves closed to 22-21 by the end of the quarter. The teams continued a tight and spirited game throughout the remainder of the half.

The Spurs finished the half shooting 46% compared to Minnesota's 40.5%, but the Wolves did their damage on the glass, collecting nine offensive rebounds compared to San Antonio's one extra chance. Kevin Love finished the half with six points and 8 rebounds but only had two of those offensive boards. Nikola Pekovic did the rest of damage with five of his seven first-half rebounds coming on the offensive end. Ricky Rubio is setting the pace for Minnesota with seven points and four assists.

Richard Jefferson has 10 points for San Antonio while Tim Duncan pitched in six points and six rebounds.
