Timberwolves Vs. Rockets: Minnesota Face Houston For Second Of Three Games In Two Weeks

The Timberwolves try to shake off a loss to the Lakers in their last game with a trip to Texas to take on the Houston Rockets for the second time in eight days.

A week ago, the Minnesota Timberwolves played the Houston Rockets and lost 107-92. A week later on Monday, the Timberwolves have their first of two chances for revenge against the Rockets in two weeks, as the teams will meet again during the weekend.

The Timberwolves have kept midding around .500 this season despite incredibly strong play from MVP candidate Kevin Love and Rookie of the Year candidate Ricky Rubio. Their most recent game was dropped to the Lakers despite a monster game from Love, the 16th straight loss to the Lakers for the Wolves dating back several years. That loss to the Lakers once again knocked the Wolves a bit away from reaching .500, where they could have been at 10-10. They're currently at 9-11 as they face Houston. Former Timberwolves front office member Kevin McHale has done wonders with the Rockets after two down years for the team, leading them to a 12-8 record.

Similar to that 16 game losing streak against the Lakers, the Wolves have also struggled against the Rockets in recent history with 15 of 16 straight games in the L column to Houston.

The game will be at the Toyota Center at 8 PM Eastern time.
