The Minnesota Timberwolves have now won two games in a row after a three game losing streak to start the season, and tonight they have a quick turnaround after beating San Antonio on Tuesday. The T-wolves are at home for a 7 p.m. tipoff against the Memphis Grizzlies tonight at the Target Center.

Canis Hoopus notes that the win over San Antonio was a landmark one, as it ended a near five year drought against the Spurs:

Given the Great Depression (and pending resurgence) of Timberwolves Basketball, I have decided to compile dates of the last time we defeated each of the other 29 NBA teams. Indeed, there are a few droughts. Before last night, it had been almost five years since your Timberwolves had knocked off the Spurs. The Hawks, Celtics, Lakers and Blazers remain as teams we have failed to defeat since the departure of the Big Ticket.
