Timberwolves Vs. Wizards Final Score: Minnesota Keeps Washington Winless, 93-72

The Washington Wizards never had a chance to win their first game of the season and continued their worst-ever start with another loss, 93-72, to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday afternoon. Minnesota improves to 3-5 and the Wizards are now 0-8.

Even without Michael Beasley, the Timberwolves had no problems handling the lowly Wizards, as six T-Wolves scored in double figures. Rick Rubio put up a team-best plus-29 with fellow rookie Derrick Williams and added 13 points and 14 assists. Kevin Love, who may be receiving a maximum contract offer soon, contributed 20 points and 16 rebounds.

The Wizards shot 35-percent and made six less shots despite taking seven more than the T-Wolves.

Minnesota will return to action tomorrow in their second of three straight against the Toronto Raptors.
