Kevin Love and Brandon Roy led the Timberwolves with 24 and 19 points respectively as Minnesota overwhelmed Maccabi en route to a 114-81 victory on Tuesday night.
Free agent acquisition Andrei Kirilenko also had 13 points, seven rebounds at five assists as four of the five Timberwolves' starters scored in double-figures. Kirilenko and Roy each went 9-of-10 from the free throw line as Minnesota got to the line 42 times in the game.
Luke Ridnour struggled as a starter in place Ricky Rubio, who is still recovering from off-season knee surgery, shooting 1-of-7 from the field while finishing with three points and zero assists in 21 minutes. J.J. Barea came off the bench to score 11 points and record 7 assists on 4-of-8 shooting from the field including 3-of-4 from three point territory in 16 minutes.
The win improved Minnesota's pre-season record to 3-1 as they prepare to travel to Chicago to take on the Bulls on Friday.
