Chase Budinger and Nikola Pekovic led the Minnesota Timberwolves in a dominating 100-76 win on the road over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday.
Budinger had game-high 20 points and four assists on 6-of-8 shooting from the field including a near perfect 4-of-5 from three-point territory. Pekovic added 19 points and nine rebounds on 6-of-10 shooting from the field while Andrei Kirilenko had eight points, 10 rebounds, four assists and a game-high six steals for the Timberwolves.
Minnesota shot 51.4 percent from the field while holding Milwaukee to just 36.1 percent shooting as a team
Brandon Jennings led the Bucks with 19 points. Jennings and Monta Ellis each had five turnovers in the game.
Minnesota rookie Alexsey Shved had six points and a game-high eight assists in over 30 minutes of playing time.
With the win, the Timberwolves finished the preseason by winning two straight and a 4-2 record overall. Minnesota opens the regular season versus the Sacramento Kings without injured point guard Ricky Rubio and power forward Kevin Love on Nov. 2.
