2012 NBA standings: Timberwolves half-game back in Northwest Division

The Minnesota Timberwolves are in second place in the Northwest Division, a half-game behind the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are 5-3 and sit a half-game behind the Oklahoma City Thunder (6-3) in the Northwest Division. The Timberwolves currently hold the fifth best record in the Western Conference.

Behind the Thunder and Timberwolves in the Northwest Division, the Denver Nuggets (4-4) are in third place. The Utah Jazz are in fourth place at 4-5 while the Trail Blazers hold the bottom spot in the division at 3-5, two games behind Minnesota and 2.5 games back of the Thunder.

The San Antonio Spurs lead the Southwest Division and Western Conference with a 7-1 record, but are closely trailed by the Memphis Grizzlies (6-1), winners of six consecutive games. No teams in the Southwest have a losing record as the Dallas Mavericks are 5-4 and the Houston Rockets (4-4) and New Orleans Hornets (3-3) both sit at .500.

In the Pacific Division, the Los Angeles Clippers (6-2) hold the division lead by two games over the next closest team, the 4-4 Golden State Warriors.
