NBA scores: Timberwolves fall to Bobcats after big division win

The Minnesota Timberwolves lost the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday after beating the Dallas Mavericks on Monday, as most of the Northwest Division evened out in recent games.

The Minnesota Timberwolves split their last two games, beating the Dallas Mavericks on Monday, but losing the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday. The Timberwolves topped the Mavericks 90-82, but followed it up with a loss to the Bobcats, 89-87. Nikola Pekovic scored 20 for Minnesota on Monday, but sprained his ankle and did not play against the Bobcats.

The Timberwolves didn't lose any ground in the Northwest Division as the Oklahoma City Thunder also split their last two games. The Thunder narrowly topped the Pistons on Monday, 92-90, needing a big fourth quarter rally to eek out the victory. On Wednesday they lost to the red-hot Memphis Grizzlies, 107-97.

Minnesota didn't gain much ground either as Dallas followed their loss to the Timberwolves with a 107-101 win over the Wizards. The Jazz won a triple overtime thriller over the Raptors on Monday, 140-133, but followed it up with a 98-93 loss to the Celtics on Wednesday. The Denver Nuggets also lost on Monday, breaking their four game winning streak with a 110-100 defeat at the hands of the Phoenix Suns. Portland lost to the Hawks on Monday, 95-87, but the Blazers beat the Kings on Tuesday, 103-86.
