The Minnesota Timberwolves are currently situated at .500 with the Denver Nuggets and the Utah Jazz in the Northwest Division. After a quick start to the season, the Timberwolves have fallen back to Earth. They were 5-2 to start the regular season, but have dropped three in a row. Minnesota has dropped games to the Charlotte Bobcats, the Golden State Warriors and the Denver Nuggets, and they're currently 5-5 overall.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are currently the leaders of the Northwest Division. After a loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, Oklahoma City has ripped off three wins in a row, beating the New Orleans Hornets, Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers in succession. OKC currently posts a 9-3 record and has a three-game lead in the division.

Though the Timberwolves are tied for second, Utah and Denver both stand at 6-6 in the division, with one more win and one more loss than Minnesota. Those three lead the Portland Trailblazers, who are 5-6.
