The Minnesota Timberwolves began their 2012 season without guard Ricky Rubio and forward Kevin Love, but the return of G Brandon Roy and F Andrei Kirilenko marked their 92-80 season-opening win Friday over the Sacramento Kings at Target Center in Minneapolis.

Kirilenko scored 10 points while grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out seven assists in his first game in the NBA since the end of the 2010-11 season. Roy played 30 minutes and scored 10 points to go along with six rebounds and five assists. He missed last year due to injuries.

G Russell Westbrook's 32 points helped the Oklahoma City Thunder top the Portland Trailblazers 106-92 in Oklahoma City's home-opener Friday. Both teams moved to 1-1 on the season. F LaMarcus Aldridge had 22 points, but was held to 8-of-22 shooting.

The Utah Jazz fell to 1-1 after a 88-86 loss at the New Orleans Hornets Friday in a game that saw No. 1 overall pick, Hornets' center Anthony Davis, go down with a mild concussion. Mo Williams scored 16 points for the Jazz in the loss.

F Danilo Gallinari's 23 points weren't enough for the Denver Nuggets as they fell 102-89 to the Orlando Magic. The loss dropped Denver to 0-2 this season.
