Minnesota Timberwolves superstar forward Kevin Love is feeling ill, and he is listed as questionable for the team's matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night at the Target Center. The Wolves are just 1-4 since Love returned to the lineup, but there's no doubt that Minnesota would rather have their best player on the floor for the game. Love is expected to be a game-time decision for the contest.
The 6'10 forward has made a seamless transition back into the starting lineup, as he has averaged 23.0 points and 15.6 rebounds while playing 36.8 minutes per contest over his first five games of the season. The Bucks would present an interesting challenge for Love because they are the No. 4 team in the NBA when it comes to pulling down defensive rebounds -- according to Hoop Data. Could Larry Sanders, Ekpe Udoh, Samuel Dalembert and John Henson really keep Love away from the offensive glass? Hopefully we will get the chance to find out on Friday night.
Kent Youngblood of the Star Tribune first reported Love's illness, and in the same report he noted that Andrei Kirilenko will miss the game due to back spasms.
The Bucks and Timberwolves are set to tip off at 7 p.m., and the game will be televised on WFTC.
