After a 2-1 week, the Timberwolves moved up in the latest NBA power rankings.

The Timberwolves climbed back to .500 with a 2-1 week and with the wins, Minnesota also moved up in the latest NBA power rankings.

Minnesota moved up two spots to No. 16 in the latest NBA power rankings from SB Nation. SB Nation's Seth Rosenthal points to the continued strong play of Andrei Kirilenko as well as the return of Kevin Love as the main reason Minnesota is moving up. Still, Rosenthal notes the Timberwolves still aren't playing at their best and could improve even more with the impending return of Ricky Rubio.

The Timberwolves also check in at No. 16 in the Sporting News NBA power rankings. Minnesota is slightly lower in the power rankings from ESPN.com and NBA.com, checking in at No. 19 in both rankings. The No. 19 ranking is a one spot improvement on NBA.com as John Schuhmann notes an improved offensive performance. The Timberwolves are No. 19 for the second straight week on ESPN.com.

With two home games this week, the Timberwolves have an opportunity to move up once again.
