Kevin Love sounds off on Minnesota Timberwolves, David Kahn

T-Wolves All-Star center Kevin Love spoke critically about team owner Glen Taylor and general manager David Kahn.

Frustrated by a lack of continuity within his organization, Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Kevin Love revealed to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports that he is downright frustrated by the decisions of team owner Glen Taylor and general manager David Kahn in recent years.

Love, who can opt for free agency in the summer of 2015, continues to be extremely bothered by the lack of a serious commitment from the organization that he is indeed a cornerstone player. Though he has been one of the most productive big men in the NBA since entering the league, Love does not believe he is, or ever will be valued as a franchise player by both Taylor and Kahn.

"I don't know who labels people stars, but even Glen Taylor said: I don't think Kevin Love is a star, because he hasn't led us to the playoffs," Love said. "I mean, it's not like I had much support out there. That's a tough pill to swallow."

Limited to just nine games so far in 2012-13 due to a broken wrist suffered back in October, Love also spoke about being taken aback by actually having the sequences surrounding his injury deemed a fabrication by people in the front office.

"Even people in my own organization were asking if it was a legitimate injury, people calling my honesty and integrity into question," Love says. "And that's what really hurt me."

Despite being arguably the most well-rounded big man in professional basketball, Love's future in Minnesota appears to be tied to whether the team can make a serious push into the postseason or not. Without a single playoff game under his belt now in his fifth year in the league, Love is poised to leave town if things don't improve before his contract is up.

"I'm looking at my contract in the eye of two years from now, and if I haven't been to the playoffs -- or it's been one playoff berth -- well, it's going to be tough to say, 'Oh well, I'm going to stay here and continue to rebuild.'"
