The Minnesota Timberwolves blew a 15-point second-half lead in a 102-93 loss to the Orlando Magic on Monday night at the Amway Center.
The Timberwolves (12-10) led 68-53 with just over seven minutes left in the third quarter before Glen Davis took over to get the Magic (11-13) back in the game. Davis scored six straight points and 12 of his 28 total points in the quarter to cut the deficit to 78-74 at the end of the third.
Orlando then dominated the fourth quarter, outscoring Minnesota 28-15 in the final frame. The Magic took the lead for good on an Arron Afflalo three-point jumper with just under six minutes left in the game.
Davis finished the game 13-of-17 from the field to go along with five rebounds. J.J. Redick had 18 points off the bench on 8-of-12 shooting. The Magic shot a scorching 53.7 percent in the victory.
Kevin Love led the Timberwolves with 23 points and 15 rebounds in the loss. Nikola Pekovic also notched a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Ricky Rubio went scoreless in 16 minutes in his second game back from an ACL injury.
