The Minnesota Timberwolves will be looking to stop one of the NBA's hottest teams when the Houston Rockets come to town on Wednesday night. Houston is currently riding a four-game winning streak of victories over some of the league's better teams: Memphis, New York, Chicago and Philadelphia.
Not only has Houston beaten quality opponents over the past week-plus, but it's absolutely crushed each team. During the winning streak, Houston is averaging roughly 119 points per game while beating its opponents by an average of nearly 21 points. Considering the quality of the competition, those numbers are rather staggering.
Minnesota hasn't quite fared as well lately, losing three of its past four games, but the Timberwolves have also been taking on some good teams. Losing games on the road to the Miami Heat and New York Knicks isn't exactly embarrassing, particularly when those losses are broken up by a victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Wednesday's game begins at 7 p.m. CT from Target Center. The game is being broadcast by Fox Sports North.
